About Us
Brand Story — MÊCOLA
MÊCOLA was founded by Hoàng Minh Luân, an entrepreneur with a deep curiosity for flavor. A graduate in Business Administration, he chose an unconventional path — the pursuit of creating Vietnam’s first small-batch craft cola.
The idea began unexpectedly when he discovered a “fresh cola” made at a New York bakery. That curiosity grew into passion as he explored Japan’s world of artisanal cola through videos and manga. In 2024, his journey took him to Japan, where he learned firsthand how craft cola married tradition with creativity. The foundation for MÊCOLA was laid there.
Unlike industrial colas, MÊCOLA is brewed from raw ingredients—similar to how Vietnamese phở broth is simmered or how coffee is traditionally brewed.
Vietnamese phở spices (cinnamon, star anise, clove), raw Nghệ An cane sugar, and Vietnamese coffee, discovered only after dozens of attempts to replace traditional cola-nut extract, come together to form a distinctive profile.
With over 50 experiments and continuous refinement — supported by his wife, Phạm Hà Phương, whose palate shaped the final flavor — the MÊCOLA formula was finalized. Every batch is handcrafted in small quantities to maintain purity, consistency, and authenticity.
The result is a flavor that is familiar yet entirely new — something you will not find anywhere else in the world.
And if one day someone says, “You haven’t truly experienced Vietnam until you’ve tried MÊCOLA,”
—that is exactly the story MÊCOLA was born to tell.
